Taiwan’s Evergreen Marine Corporation has ordered a series of four 172-meter by 27.4-meter Con-green container ships from South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for delivery starting in 2021.
The 1,800 TEU capacity vessels have been developed by Hyundai in conjunction with MAN Energy Solutions and classification society DNV GL to maximize vessel operational efficiency and meet Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase 3 requirements which start in 2025.
