First LNG Bunkering Tanker for Greece

The Public Gas Corporation of Greece and the European Investment Bank have signed an agreement to finance the construction of a 3,000 cubic meter capacity LNG bunkering vessel for basing in Piraeus, Greece. The ship will be loaded with LNG at the Revithoussa LNG terminal and will serve vessels trading in the Eastern Mediterranean.

A $22 million loan to cover half of the construction cost has been guaranteed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments while additional funding will be supplied by the European Union.
