Giant Fish Farm Transported by Semi-Submersible

Boka Vanguard

Dutch dredging and heavylift specialist Royal Boskalis Westminster recently transported the 385-meter by 60-meter Havfarm 1, a steel fish farm structure, from China to Norway using its semi-submersible Boka Vanguard, the world’s largest heavy transport vessel.

The 36,000-ton fish farm is the largest cargo transported to date by the Dutch vessel, which has been used to carry oil rigs and drydock cruise ships since being completed in China as Dockwise Vanguard during 2012.
