The largest LNG bunkering operation ever completed was accomplished at the Port of Rotterdam in late March when almost 3,300 metric tons of the fuel was placed aboard the world’s most powerful semi-submersible crane vessel, Heerema’s Sleipnir, by Anthony Veder’s LNG carrier Coral Fraseri. The operation took less than 24 hours to complete with all those involved following strict government guidelines to protect workers during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
