The Chamber of Shipping of America has honored Honolulu-based Pasha Hawaii’s fleet with Certificates of Environmental Achievement for the fleet’s many years of environmental excellence, the company announced Nov. 23.

Vessels honored included Horizon Pacific for 22 straight years, Horizon Reliance for 21 years, Horizon Enterprise and Horizon Spirit for 11 years and m/v Marjorie C for three years.

“These awards celebrate the dedication to environmental excellence of our seafarers and the company personnel ashore who operate their vessels to the highest standards,” Chamber shipping President Kathy Metcalf said. “We celebrate these positive achievements and the critical contributions the maritime industry makes to the domestic and global economies while operating their vessels in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.”

George W. Pasha, IV, president and CEO of Pasha Hawaii, said he and the company are honored to be recognized among this list of esteemed vessels and crews.

“We take our environmental stewardship responsibility seriously and are extremely proud of our captains, crew members, and operations staff for their ongoing commitment to safety and environmental responsibility at sea and ashore,” Pasha said.
