Starting Sept. 27, the Port of Seattle is planning a series of public meetings to discuss the port’s proposed 2023 budget and five-year capital plan. Port commissioners are expected to hear more about the port’s operating division budgets on Sept. 27 and Oct. 11.

There are also plans for two public open houses on the budget and capital plan.

The open house for the Maritime and EDD divisions is set to take place online at 4 p.m. on Oct. 12, while the Aviation Division’s open house is set online for 4 p.m. on Oct. 13.

The public may take part or check out a recording on the port’s 2023 budget webpage.

Port Executive Director Steve Metruck is expected to introduce his proposed budget document on Oct. 20, which will be made available to the public. A public hearing on the proposal is set for Nov. 8, which anticipated adoption of the 2023 fiscal plan on Nov. 29, according to the port.
