L.A., Long Beach Ports Offer Clean Air Action Plan Update

Officials at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles are expected to update the public on the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP) on Wednesday, June 1. The meeting is expected to touch on technology advancement projects at the ports, studies that assess the feasibility of cargo handling equipment and trucks and the Clean Truck Fund Rate, which launched in April. The CTF rate program allows the ports to collect at least $10 per loaded TEU on trucks coming and going from terminals.
