USCG Cutter Hickory Gets New Commander

The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Hickory is now led by Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Shea G. Winterberger, who officially took command of the vessel from Cmdr. Jeannette M. Greene during a recent change-of-command ceremony at the Pioneer Pier in Homer, Alaska on May 19. Presiding over the command change was Rear Adm. Nathan A. Moore. Winterberger now oversees the 48 crew members who are responsible for maintaining over 170 buoys and beacons from Kachemak Bay to the Kuskokwim River.
