3 New Members Confirmed to LA Harbor Board

Former U.S. Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, labor advocate Michael Muñoz and real estate businessman Lee Williams are the newest members of the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners. The Los Angeles City Council on May 2 approved Mayor Karen Bass’ nominations to the commission, the governing board that oversees the Port of Los Angeles. New LA Harbor Department General Counsel Named 

Los Angeles Assistant City Attorney Steve Otera has been tapped as general counsel to the Los Angeles Harbor Department, leading the legal team that advises on operations at the Port of Los Angeles and provides counsel to the Los Angeles Harbor Commission.  Otera, who takes over the role after Janna Sidley retired earlier this year, is a familiar face at the Harbor Department, where he worked for almost 20 years.
