Voltera, a Northern California-based developer, owner, and operator of charging infrastructure for zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) fleets, has announced the acquisition of new ZEV infrastructure development sites in Los Angeles and West Sacramento. The first newly acquired site, a prime 0.85-acre parcel at 1707 E. The Los Angeles and Long Beach seaports saw some of the most significant drops in air emissions last year since 2005, according to the ports’ 2023 emissions inventories, the results of which were released Sept. 23. Cargo dwell times have been on the rise at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach amid significant volume increases at the nation’s two busiest seaports, according to data released Sept. 13 by the Pacific Merchant Shipping Association. Erica Calhoun has been named deputy executive director of the City of Los Angeles Harbor Department’s Administrative Bureau, the Port of LA announced Aug. 22.
