Port of Columbia County Finalizes Agricultural Lease

Agricultural company Craig F. Coleman Inc. is taking control of 118 acres at the Port Westward Industrial Park under a new lease agreement with the Port of Columbia County, the northwest Oregon port announced July 16. The port finalized the lease agreement with Craig F. Coleman for the land, which Lower Columbia Tree Farm previously had the timber rights to when the port acquired the property in 2009. Port Westward’s Beaver Dock Back in Service

Commercial operations have returned to Beaver Dock at Port Westward Industrial Park in Oregon after a barge damaged the dock last November. A tug and barge not associated with Port Westward were heading up the Columbia River on Nov. 12 when they crashed into the dock, destroying about 100 feet of downstream approach and damaging several pipelines, none of which leaked product, according to the Port of Columbia County.
