Prep Work Beginning at Site of Prince Rupert Port Energy Export Project

Site preparation work is set to begin on land planned for the Ridley Energy Export Facility (REEF) project, previously called the Vopak Pacific Canada project, the Prince Rupert Port Authority announced Dec. 5. The port authority has approved the removal of vegetation as part of the first phase of development. The REEF project is being developed jointly by AltaGas and Royal Vopak, which intend to build and run a liquefied petroleum gas and bulk liquids terminal and marine berthing and loading facility at the British Columbia seaport.
