The Puyallup Tribe in western Washington state has received a new BRIX Marine-built vessel that’s expected to help bolster shellfish monitoring operations in the Pacific Northwest. The Port Angeles, Wash.-based vessel designer and builder announced April 24 that it has finished and delivered to the tribe the 3513-CTC Sovereign One. The vessel is a custom-built aluminum catamaran that features 5086 alloy aluminum hull skins, 5052 alloy aluminum interior transverse frames, twin Yamaha XTO 425hp outboards c/w SS props, a 12V DC electrical system and a 30A 120V AC system, according to BRIX Marine.
