After carrying out Marine Safety Task Force missions in late August, crew members from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Sector Anchorage returned to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Tuesday, Aug. 30. During their missions out of Bethel, Alaska from Aug. 22-30, six Coast Guard marine inspectors and two Environmental Protection Agency inspectors went to 20 communities and looked into about 50 bulk fuel storage facilities. They also conducted an unannounced exercise at Crowley Fuels in Bethel Aug. 25, according to the USCG.
