Washington state and harbor officials on June 9 held a ribbon cutting to commemorate the completion of Vancouver Landing, the first in a series of projects planned within the Terminal 1 development at the Port of Vancouver USA. Partly funded with $4.7 million in state funds, Vancouver Landing features “dramatic riverfront vistas, a boardwalk timeline of historic events, new sections of the Renaissance Trail, Rotary Club of Vancouver elements, interpretive panels and an embedded map of the Columbia River,” according to the port.
