Resolve Marine, a ship and vessel salvage, rescue, emergency response and specialized marine services company, has acquired MAC Enterprises, Inc., a provider of welding, diving, boat watch and chartering services for Dutch Harbor and the Aleutian Islands in Alaska.

MAC Enterprises, which was established in 1982 by Jimmer and Alyssa McDonald, supports commercial and fishing fleets for some of the largest seafood companies in the country, as well as local, state and national government agencies.

The company offers a wide range of OSHA-approved underwater welding and commercial diving services, including hull inspection and surveys, hull and sea chest cleaning and scraping and propeller inspection and maintenance. It also provides mooring, marine and freight transport, and search-and-recovery services.

Additionally, specialized vessel security services are offered during offseason and inclement weather.

Dutch Harbor, which regularly ranks as the top commercial fishing port in the U.S. by volume of seafood landed, is a major economic engine underpinning the seafood industry of Alaska and the U.S.

Resolve Marine is headquartered in Florida, but has locations in Anchorage and Dutch Harbor.

“We are excited to bring Jimmer and his experienced team into the fold of Resolve Marine Alaska services, “ Resolve Alaska General Manager A.W. McAfee said. “The combination provides our community greater resources to keep vessels seaworthy and running 24/7.”
