Next month, non-profit TMA BlueTech will host its 13th annual BlueTech Week, a five-day series of seven events showcasing “collaboration and innovation in sustainable ocean and water technologies and the entrepreneurs making it happen.”

This year’s event, held virtually from Nov. 15-19, is themed AquaOptimism: Inclusion, Inspiration, Innovation.

Several major keynote and featured speakers have been confirmed, including Craig McLean of NOAA, who is expected to again moderate the BlueTech Clusters Gathering; NASA chief scientist Dr. Jim Green; Dr. Paula Bontempi of the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography; John Bell of DG Research, California State Controller Betty Yee and representatives of various other organizations, including AIR Centre, Connect by CNES, JAXA, UK Satellite Applications Catapult and NOAA.

U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo is expected to introduce the Nov. 18 keynote speaker in a pre-recorded message.

Event organizer TMA BlueTech is the non-profit industry association and cluster organizer for the San Diego ocean and water technologies community.
