Energy executive Kollin Fencil has been named senior vice president and general manager of Crowley Fuels’ business division, which provides energy logistics solutions to customers throughout Alaska, the company announced Sept. 25.
Fencil, who began his career as an engineer, brings to his new role leadership experience in the energy sector, including work as senior vice president of operations for global energy firm Santos Ltd. in Alaska. There, he oversaw operations, including implementation of the company’s strategy for the business unit. He also previously held management roles at BP and other energy firms.
“Kollin’s strong leadership skills and broad experience in the energy space will enhance Crowley Fuels’ leadership role in Alaska,” Crowley Chief Operating Officer Ray Fitzgerald said. “His strategic capabilities, understanding of the Alaska market and focus on quality, safety and reliability for customers and our people will help lift our team.”
Fencil is set to lead one of Alaska’s biggest petroleum wholesale providers, serving 280 communities, including remote locations, offering transportation, distribution and sale of petroleum and other products using a network of 16 terminals and a marine vessel fleet, according to Crowley.
