Port of Everett, City of Mukilteo to Host Waterfront Redevelopment Open House

The Port of Everett and the city of Mukilteo are hosting an open house on Nov. 1 focused on the Mukilteo Waterfront Redevelopment Project.

The public can have a chance to talk to port and city officials about the development and offer feedback on preliminary artist renderings on a potential vision for the waterfront.

Last year, the port and city decided to work together on a vision for the undeveloped acreage along the Mukilteo shoreline. This includes the site where NOAA originally wanted to build a research facility. NOAA announced in 2021 that it was no longer pursuing the project.

Architecture, planning and design firm NBBJ was hired to start the initial planning stages of the proposed waterfront redevelopment, including gathering information and engaging the community.

The event is expected to take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo.
