San Diego-Based StartBlue Ocean Enterprise Accelerator Awarded $13.5M Grant

The StartBlue Ocean Enterprise Accelerator, a business accelerator at the UC San Diego-Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Rady School of Management, is receiving $13.5 million in federal funding to help grow the Blue Economy, the Department of Commerce and NOAA announced Dec. 9. The StartBlue Ocean Enterprise Accelerator is one of four such programs in the nation to receive the funding. Applications Open for Upcoming Blue Economy Accelerator Program

Entrepreneurs with startups that are tackling an ocean-related challenge with a science-and- engineering-based solution now have a new opportunity to gain knowledge and support. Applications are currently being accepted for free participation in the upcoming cohort of StartBlue, a blue-tech-focused program that’s offered by a University of California, San Diego accelerator program, in partnership with Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Rady School of Management.
