Port of Long Beach, Terminals Awarded Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Grants

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently has the Port of Long Beach, its marine terminals and its first responders grants toward the safety and cargo efficiency of the nation’s second busiest seaport. The port announced Oct. 23 that it has secured more than $2.6 million from DHS’ Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to bolster cybersecurity, enhanced drone detection capabilities and improving network infrastructure that helps cargo movement. Homeland Security Port Grants Awarded To Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa

About $3.5 million in funding from the Department of Homeland Security’s 2022 Port Security Grant Program is expected to enhance supply chain resiliency in Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa, the U.S. Coast Guard announced Sept. 30.
