Greenbrier Names New Chief Financial Officer

In July, R.J. Corman Railroad Group executive Michael J. Donfris is expected to become the new chief financial officer of transportation manufacturing corporation Greenbrier Companies, the Lake Oswego, Oregon-based company announced May 21. In its second quarter ending Feb. 29, Greenbrier Companies, Inc. expanded its lease fleet and secured new railcar orders, the Oregon-based freight transportation provider announced April 5. The company located in Lake Oswego said it was able to grow its lease fleet by 500 units to 14,600 with almost 99% of the fleet in steady use. During its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended Aug. 31, transportation equipment manufacturer Greenbrier Companies, Inc. secured orders for 15,300 new railcars valued at $1.9 billion, giving the Lake Oswego, Oregon-based company its highest quarterly order count in almost a decade.
