Knik Construction Celebrates 50 Years in Business

Anchorage-based heavy civil contractor Knik Construction is commemorating five decades in business this year. Knik, which is part of the Lynden family of companies, was founded in 1974 and then began establishing its reputation as a company that can build complicated infrastructure projects in difficult and remote locations when it won a highway and bridge construction project bid near Fairbanks, Alaska. The company has also pointed to another memorable project: quickly fixing a freeway damaged by an earthquake in Anchorage in 2018. Alaska freight mover Lynden Transport recently received a Quest for Quality Award from Logistics Management magazine, its 26th such award, the company announced Thursday, Aug, 18.
