Prince Rupert Port Authority Partnering on Import Logistics Park Development

The Prince Rupert Port Authority is teaming up with the Metlakatla Development Corp. on the development of a logistics park that could mean job opportunities for Indigenous people and more intermodal trade through Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The port authority on Jan. 30 announced its partnership with Metlakatla on the more than $100 million South Kaien Import Logistics Park, part of which is expected to include a logistics and warehousing complex for import transloading and related activities at the port.
