Trigon Secures Deal for Hydrogen-as-Ammonia Exports

Prince Rupert, British Columbia-based Trigon Pacific Terminals Ltd. said Feb. 12 that it has agreed to work with the Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority (UFEZ) on a framework that would further develop hydrogen-as-ammonia exports between Canada and South Korea. The Ulsan Free Economic Zone is an industrial hub in South Korea specializing in automotive, shipbuilding, petrochemicals and emerging green industries. New President of Trigon Pacific Terminals Named

Terminal operations executive Craig Olley has been appointed to the newly created role of president of Trigon Pacific Terminals, the Prince Rupert, British Columbia-based terminal operator announced Nov. 27. Olley, who previously worked as vice president of operations at a Port of Vancouver marine terminal, is expected to oversee Trigon’s daily operations, customer relations and project management, according to the company. Trigon Pacific Awards B2BC Contract to Pacific Pile & Marine

Prince Rupert, British Columbia-based Trigon Pacific Terminals Ltd. has awarded Pacific Pile & Marine Civil Constructors a $71 million contract to build its Berth 2 Beyond Carbon (B2BC) project, it was announced May 3. Funded with a $75 million federal grant, B2BC is poised to be the first purpose-built infrastructure in Canada to handle low-carbon energy commodities, such as ammonia and hydrogen for fuel use, according to the announcement.
