Crystal Expedition Ship Delayed

Los Angeles, California-headquartered Crystal Expedition Cruises, part of Hong Kong’s Genting Group, has postponed the entry into service of its 200-passenger polar-class expedition ship Crystal Endeavor from August until mid-November when it is scheduled to operate a 14-night cruise from New Zealand.

The 20,000-gt vessel is being built by MV Werften shipyard in Stralsund, Germany, but that facility was temporarily closed in late March because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Once completed, the 164.5-meter by 23.4-meter vessel will position from Germany to the South Pacific with crew only.
