Kevin Coleman, who served as Veritas Media’s community outreach and sales manager, is the new program director of the Bellingham SeaFeast, the event’s Board of Directors announced Friday, June 17.

Coleman will lead a team tasked with putting on the popular event spotlighting Whatcom County’s maritime history, its working waterfront, the commercial seafood sectors and the food that the Pacific Northwest is known for.

Ginny Broadhurst, co-chair of Bellingham SeaFeast and director of the Salish Sea Institute at Western Washington University, said that Coleman is the ideal candidate to serve as SeaFeast’s director, saying that he excels at team building, project management and digital/social media marketing.

“He also has experience managing large events,” she added. “As a member of several community boards including Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, Allied Arts and more, Kevin brings an abundance of community connections, enthusiasm, and energy to the leadership of Bellingham SeaFeast.”

SeaFeast, a family-friendly event, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17. It began in 2016 as a way to celebrate and honor Bellingham’s maritime sector. More information is available at BellinghamSeaFeast.org. Coleman can be reached via email at kevin@bellinghamseafeast.com.
