Crowley Maritime Corporation’s marine services group has taken Brusco Tug and Barge’s latest Diversified Marine-built tractor tug under bareboat charter and will base the 82-foot tug, renamed Hercules, in Puget Sound. Built to a Robert Allan Ltd design, the 6,000-horsepower tug is powered by twin Caterpillar 3512 Tier IV-compliant engines driving two Rolls-Royce azimuth stern drives to provide of bollard pull of better than 80 tons.
