About 85 Crowley-owned and operated vessels and their crews have been honored for 782 cumulative years of safe environmental operations by the Chamber of Shipping of America, Crowley announced Dec. 19.

The company was recognized during the chamber’s annual Environmental Achievement Awards, honoring vessels and mariners with “an outstanding safety record with no reportable spills, no U.S. Coast Guard environmental citations or other pollution incidents,” according to the CSA.

The vessels recognized by the chamber range from tugs and barges to container and tank vessels.

“We are thrilled to be recognized once again for our safety and environmental stewardship,” Crowley Shipping Vice President of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) and Operations Integrity Peter Sutton said. “This acknowledgment is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our mariners and underscores Crowley’s commitment to sustainability and safety within its organization and the maritime industry.”
