The General Dynamics Electric Boat’s Quonset Point Facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island rolled out the US Navy’s newest Virginia-class fast attack submarine, the future USS Oregon (SSN 793), in April. As the 20th Virginia-class nuclear-powered attack submarine, and the second Virginia-class Block IV submarine, the boat is the third US Navy ship to honor the state of Oregon.
