Efforts by shipping company Pasha Hawaii to prioritize safety were recognized by the Chamber of Shipping of America during the chamber’s 56th Annual Devlin and Safety Achievement Awards, Pasha announced June 21.
“We take immense pride in our officers, crew members and operations teams at Pasha Hawaii for their unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards,” Pasha Hawaii President and CEO George Pasha, IV said. “This award truly reflects their dedication and teamwork.”
The company was among the nearly three dozen companies in attendance at the chamber’s awards event June 6 in New Orleans, which honored mariners and businesses whose 1,056 vessels account for more than 7,341 years of operation “without a lost time incident,” according to Pasha.
“CSA’s members are deeply rooted in safe operations,” CSA Director of Maritime Affairs Sean Kline said. “Our commitment remains steadfast to represent the domestic and international fleets on safety issues encompassing every facet of ship operations. Today we come together to recognize and celebrate seafarers and companies’ hard work and dedication to going home to our families better than (when) we left them.”
