After traveling 36 days and more than 8,000 nautical miles from Portsmouth, Va., the U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Area’s newest Indo-Pacific support cutter, Harriet Lane, has made its way to its new home port at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii, the Guard announced Dec. 13. Before relocating to Hawaii, the 270-foot medium endurance cutter was in Baltimore for more than 15 months in a Service Life Extension Program to help transition the vessel for missions and operations in the Pacific. “Re-homeporting U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane is indicative of the Coast Guard’s commitment to the Indo-Pacific,” Rear Adm.…
