Pasha Hawaii said Aug. 11 that its supply chain routes are fully operational as support efforts for Maui wildfire relief are underway.

The company said that it has enacted its emergency response plan, which includes prioritizing emergency rations, foodstuffs and medical supplies via available barge capacity to Maui and its direct vessel roll-on/roll-off service.

Pasha Hawaii operates two fixed-day direct vessel calls per week from the U.S. West Coast to Honolulu, with twice weekly connections into Maui for the container business. The carrier also provides roll-on/roll-off cargo service with direct mainline vessel calls into Kahului harbor.

The m/v Jean Anne has regular biweekly service, and the m/v Marjorie C operates an as-needed inducement call into Maui.

Pasha Hawaii has said that it’s working with government agencies, customers and partners for the shipment of relief supplies in addition to coordinating shipments with nonprofit organizations to Maui.

In support of Maui wildfire relief efforts, Pasha Hawaii presented the non-profit Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) Maui Strong Fund with a $25,000 donation. The company is also encouraging those interested in supporting the Maui communities to consider a monetary donation to HCF, which has set up a fund specifically to support the Maui communities affected by the wildfires.

The foundation has said that it will apply 100% of the donations received to assist those in need. Online donations can be made at Maui Strong – Hawaii Community Foundation.
