Honolulu-based container and cargo shipper Pasha Hawaii’s fleet of vessels operating in the Hawaii-Mainland trade has been honored for its environmental excellence by the Chamber of Shipping of America, the company announced Nov. 21. Renee Moilanen, the director of ports for new energy solutions company Build Momentum, has been chosen to be the next director of environmental planning for the Port of Long Beach, it was announced June 10. Moilanen, who is expected to start her new role on July 15, returns to a familiar stomping ground. The Port of Los Angeles will be able to collaborate with the Port of Tokyo and the Port of Yokohama on environmental matters under a pair of newly signed Memorandum of Understanding agreements, the POLA announced March 16.
